“Royal Tombs Canoe Race” organized
The race within the scope of Kapıkayafest organized by the Bafra Municipality took place on the Kızılırmak River. 30 people participated in the race organized as a mixed event.
Participants competed to complete the 2-kilometer course, which includes natural and historical structures.
In the race, Kerim Tenha came first, Zafer Benli came second, and Yahya Kemal Üslü came third.
The awards for the top athletes were presented by Bafra Mayor Hamit Kılıç at a ceremony held at the camp area.
Kılıç stated that this year the festival, which intertwines nature, history, and culture, hosted a new event, saying, “With the canoe race we organized, we offered a different alternative to nature and sports enthusiasts. As in every year, we are organizing many activities at our festival this year as well. I thank all the athletes who participated in the canoe race.”
