Historic Inscription of Sinop Courthouse Unveiled
A project has been completed to raise historical awareness and provide information to visitors, where the translation of the inscription on the main building of Sinop Courthouse was placed at the entrance along with a brief informative note. Chief Prosecutor Mesut Pektaş emphasized the importance of conveying the meaning of the historical structure to the new generations through this initiative.
Chief Prosecutor Pektaş mentioned that special attention was paid to ensure that the frame also matched the history of the building, stating that they commissioned a wooden craftsman in Trabzon to create a special frame using hand carving techniques. This way, both aesthetic and historical integrity were achieved.
Chief Prosecutor Pektaş expressed his desire for both the residents of Sinop and visitors from outside to acquire information about the history of the building. He said, “I present this work, which reflects the meaning and historical value of the inscription, to the public for their appreciation.”
